Pre/Post Chemical Peel Care

Before your Peel:

  • Discontinue use of actives: (retinol/retinal/tretinoin), AHAs/BHAs, scrubs, benzoyl peroxide.

  • No hair removal: avoid waxing, threading, depilatories on the treated area.

  • Skip self-tanner & minimize sun exposure.

After your Peel: (48 hours)

  • If any flaking occurs, do not pick or peel.

  • Avoid heat & sweat: exercise, saunas for 24-48 hours

  • Avoid use of retinols & actives

  • Wear SPF 30+ daily

  • Keep it simple: cleanse → moisturize → SPF

Important for First-Time Peel Clients

If this is your first chemical peel, or if you have never used active skincare ingredients (such as retinoids, acids, or exfoliating treatments), your skin may require a preparation period before receiving a professional peel.

To ensure the safest treatment and best possible outcome, we may recommend a minimum two-week skin preparation phase using a pigment inhibitor and corrective home care products. In these cases, your initial appointment will be converted to a customized facial and include a full-size GlyMed Plus Daily Skin Clarifier to take home ($189 treatment value).

Once your skin has been properly conditioned, we will schedule your chemical peel treatment.
